There are alot of words we could use to describe Brya and one of the first that comes to mind is "ACTIVIST". Once she gets a "bug in her bonnet" about something there is no stopping her. She has always been opposed to the death penalty but when she realized that hanging was still legal in some states she just had to do something.......Here is what she did.

I don't think she realizes that her reason for writing was not addressed in the letter but it is still cool to get a letter that "has the President's signature"!!!

Go Brya! Sarah wrote to the O. girls when they first got into the White House. "Mrs. O." wrote back and sent a photo of herself and an encouraging letter that also explained the need for her daughters to be just girls and not have fan clubs (in different words.) I thought that was cool, that they have a response team to address kids who take an interest in the presidential position.
